Programs

Each program turns toward a simple need of families in hardship, and is carried out together with local temples.

Gifts and rice for the poor
01

Gifts and rice for the poor

Daily necessities and cash gifts placed directly in the hands of the elderly, people with disabilities, and struggling families.

This is the heart of every trip to Vietnam. At each stop, usually a temple, families in need from the area are invited to receive their gifts. The local temple helps compile the list of those in the greatest hardship.

Disaster relief

We show up after storms and floods, bringing food and daily necessities to affected areas.

Central Vietnam is hit by storms and floods almost every year. The foundation organized flood relief in central Vietnam in 2011 and storm and flood relief in 2017 (two rounds), bringing rice and daily necessities to families who lost their harvest or whose homes were damaged.

Homes of compassion and people with disabilities

Sturdy homes for poor families, and care for people with disabilities and elderly people living alone.

For families living in leaky, run-down houses, the foundation helps build or repair homes with brick walls, cement floors, and tin roofs, sturdy enough to last through the rainy and typhoon seasons.
